December Events

What a wonderful holiday season this has been! The month of December has been quite busy. Here are some photos of Danversport during this special time of year.

Many groups and organizations celebrated their holiday gatherings with us. Here is a video of the Beverly High School band playing for the Beverly Rotary during one of their weekly luncheons.

We celebrated our 40th Anniversary this year. We wish to extend a very warm thank you to all of our wonderful guests who made these past 40 years possible. We had over 400 people come to celebrate with us at our anniversary party.

Also this month, we had our teddy bear fundraiser for Boston's Children's Hospital and local charities. Over 125 teddy bears were donated to the kids. We had a celebratory party for our teddy bear send off. Delicious foods and wines were served. Our favorite DJ Bethany Vaughn donated her services for this great occasion. A big thank you, to Lori Batchelder, one of our dining room managers who organizes this yearly event.

Many guests also took part in our holiday gift card promotion. Through the first week in December when you purchased a gift card, a complimentary gift voucher was issued.

Certainly last but not least, tomorrow in New Years Eve! We are expecting over 800 people to join us to ring in the new year!

Teddy Bears

Again, we have partnered with Boston Children's Hospital and other local charitable organizations. We are collecting generous $25.00 donations from our wonderful guests. This $25.00 donation is being used to purchase teddy bears. All extra proceeds are being used to purchase toys for the children in need during this holiday season. This is our 2nd year with our teddy bear drive. We have already sold over 95 bears and still counting! Thank you Happy Holidays!

Thanksgiving is 15 days away and counting!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Reservations have been coming in quickly and some time slots are getting close to being full. Due to popular demand we are opening earlier than planned for our Fabulous Thanksgiving Buffet in the Harborview Ballroom. We will now be open from 12pm until 4pm for our final seating. Groups small and large are coming this year to participate in the grandest of feasts.

There will be over 30 items offered for our guests to enjoy. There will be bountiful soups, deluxe salads, freshly baked breads. A carving station featuring slow roasted turkey & prime rib with more side dishes than you can pile high will be offered.

Certainly last but not least our fabulous chocolate fountain will be flowing milk chocolate to dunk fresh strawberries, cheesecake and many other items. Singing Cook!

Our Executive Chef John Vassel III has been selected by www.singingcook.com to be a featured chef. This is a new website that will be traveling to various chef's kitchens. They will be videoing area chefs creating their recipes. They have created a video of "JV" as he is affectionately known making our famous chicken Picatta. Click on the link above to view the video.

New Wines, continued...

Here is a few more wines that we're recently added to our new wine list. The fall is such a wonderful time to enjoy red wines. We hope you enjoy our wine selections.

Melini Chianti Borghi D'Elsa
Bright, ruby red. The bouquet is intense, fragrant with elegant scents of iris and raspberries and spices. The taste is dry, full and harmonious with an elegant aftertaste of toasted almonds and fruit.

Kendall Jackson Pinot Noir
Black cherry and raspberry fruit mingle with flavors of plum and spice from benchland vineyards along the Central Coast. Oak aging adds hints of vanilla, nuances of toast and a soft, smoky finish.

Lucky Star Pinot Noir
Ripe raspberry and cherry aromas balanced by a crisp yet silky finish. The wine pairs well with grilled chicken, Fusilli pasta tossed with extra virgin olive oil, fresh tomato and herbs. Very light and a easy drinking wine.

We are proud to announce our newly updated wine list. Here are just a few of the wines that we are proud to now feature.

SPASSO Pinot Grigio: This is a great representation of a good Veneto, Italian wine. It's a clean, crisp wine that pairs well with most dishes. With cherry and berry flavors, this Pinot Grigio is round, soft and has just a touch of oak.

Chateau St. Michelle Riesling: This newly released vintage is a blend of Riesling from throughout Washington’s Columbia Valley. Crafted to be a refreshing, off-dry Riesling delivering sweet lime and peach character with subtle mineral notes. This is a very popular summertime wine.

Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc: Bright fruit characters of pineapple and grapefruit combined with fresh tropical fruit sweetness. Excellent weight and balance, this wine lingers on the palate in a full, refreshing finish.

Red Sox Themed Wedding

We had a really fun wedding this weekend. The Bride and Groom are huge Red Sox Nation Members! Wally the Green Monster even came by to wish them congratulations.

They had a beautiful reception complete with deluxe Top Shelf Open Bar & Gala Sweet Tables full of hand made pastries and sweet confections! This is always a crowd favorite!

This private waterfront pergola is a great backdrop for on-site ceremonies and provides a fabulous location for photos.

There are many locations on the property to take a variety of shots. This picture was taken adjacent to our gazebo with the Danvers harbor as a backdrop. Some couples have arrived and or departed by chartered boat.
